Sugaring

Well, sugaring is just another form of a hair removal service. It’s a safe and organic alternative to traditional waxing. Another name for it is Persian Sugar Waxing. Said to originate around 1900 BC, sugaring is a common practice to remove hair in the Middle East. Compared to traditional waxing, sugaring is described as less painful, and can be used at room temperature or heated to lukewarm temperature, minimizing risks of being burned.

The method of application itself is similar to waxing, but with some deviation. With waxing, it’s applied in the same direction as the hair’s growth and pulled in the opposite direction. With sugaring, the wax paste is applied in the same direction as the hair’s growth, but pulled in the same direction in small little yanks. It’s also good to note that the paste doesn’t stick to the skin, so it causes much less irritation to the skin.
